We follow up on Evo
This year's Evo was one for the ages. Not only did we get to see some of the best fighting game players in the world duke it out, but we also got a few surprises. One of those surprises was the debut of the new game, Cult of the Lamb. It was released as an appetizer for the upcoming sequel coming next year and people were more than happy to eat up what they were served. In this episode, I'll be discussing my experience with Evo and giving you all the details on my review of Cult of the Lamb. Stay tuned and enjoy!
If you weren't able to catch EVO live, don't worry. You can watch it from anywhere using your VR headset. The VR stream will let you feel like you're really there at the event without having to put any work into getting ready for it. They did a great job recreating how crowded everything is at EVO so that you can feel like a part of the action even if you're miles away from where the competition is taking place. After experiencing EVO, I wanted to try out this other VR fighter called Cult of the Lamb that was just released.
Zachary reviews the new game 'Cult of the Last' by Castle Pixel
Evo is the world's largest fighting game tournament, and this year's event was held online due to the pandemic. Castle Pixel's new game, Cult of the Last, was one of the featured titles. Here's my review. I think the demo showed some potential for future additions or expansions on the gameplay but right now it feels like a clunky first person shooter with an archaic inventory system. The art style is serviceable but doesn't have any personality so far; it looks like a prettier Wolfenstein 3D from 1992. There are some cool ideas here, but there's not enough substance to make me want to come back for more after I've seen everything there is to see in the demo. If you're looking for something different, give it a try. Otherwise, I'm going to wait until they add more features before getting my hopes up too high. The following is a description of our Cult of the Last Early Access Review:
You awaken aboard a spaceship. It crashes, you escape, and realize that things are really not what they seem at all. Doomed by your newly acquired head wound, will you save yourself? Will you save your friends? Will you even be able to tell what friend from foe? Take up arms against the cult that holds sway over all others: find their secrets and destroy them from within! Or die trying... CULT OF THE LAST is one of those games where it’s easy to pick up but takes hours to master. If those long learning curves don’t put you off then by all means dive in!
What's next for Castle Pixel?
Castle Pixel is gearing up for another great year! We're hard at work on our next big project, and we can't wait to share it with you. In the meantime, be sure to check out our latest game, Cult of the Lamb. It's a suspenseful thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Thanks for all your support, and we'll see you soon! -The Castle Pixel Team
At Castle Pixel, we’re always working toward something new. You might have heard rumors of an announcement in January, but don’t worry—we aren’t going anywhere. Instead, what you need to know is that we have three games coming out by Q2 2020: Cult of the Lamb (VR), Where Shadows Lie (console), and What Makes Us Human (console). These are all projects built from the ground up, just like everything else in our portfolio. Whether their themes are murder mysteries or medical research gone wrong, these titles show off how much creativity goes into creating one video game—and they’re just scratching the surface! So without further ado, let's take a look at some reviews...

What's everyone think about that? Let's get into some more news this week as well with a review of the cult classic game Cult Of The Lamb from 2019 (sorry if I spoiled anything). I hope you enjoyed this episode, and be sure to tune in next time for more talk about video games!
Be sure to check out these stories too: Watch Dogs Legion received quite a lot of praise for its gameplay mechanics, so let's talk about whether or not it lived up to expectations. Finally, there's a rumor going around that Warframe is making its way over to PS5 by 2024. Is anyone else excited by what they hear? All right guys, thanks again for listening and be sure to come back next week! The point here is, while watching E-Sports is fun, one should also partake in other activities that may lead to similar types of health benefits such as being active. Studies have shown playing Wii Tennis once a week can increase brain power and memory, plus heart rate and exercise capacity. Want an even bigger challenge? Try hiking at night while looking for constellations! These are just two suggestions but find out which one suits you best and don't forget to give yourself a break every now and then; all work and no play will lead to bad habits which might end up ruining all the hard work put into things.
